Promoting youth’s interest and curiosity throughout the course of the day is an important priority for high-quality programs. Staff are energetic and enthusiastic, demonstrating active engagement in activities with youth. By asking open-ended questions and encouraging youth to think through problems, staff play a critical role in facilitating students’ self-reflection and helping them brainstorm potential solutions.
