The system of common measurement across a diverse array of program partners allows for identification of strengths and areas needing improvement, and also enables citywide leaders to examine how programs across Boston collectively perform against research-based benchmarks. This focus on access and quality enables the network of partners to pursue continuous improvement together – both at the individual program level and citywide system level.
Results from the measurement work inform a year-round system of professional development and peer learning in which program partners learn strategies and best practices for program practice and student skill development, both from experts and their peers. The following sections highlight key findings from School Year 2015-2016 and Summer 2016.
